Park life

Lincol WettenhallFriend of Empire and messenger Lincoln Wettenhall was killing it early Saturday morning. He won last time he raced. I haven’t heard how he did this weekend, but he sure looks pretty relaxed compared to the rest of those guys.

Empire rider Dan C. made an appearance in the pro-1/2/3 race.

And local celebrity Hal from Bicycle Habitat was there as well. Not too bad for Saturday before 9AM.

Riding Across AMERICA

Sunday, June 28th, 2009

I’m taking a little break from filming this summer to ride across the U. S. of A. So far so good, besides the average 85 mile days we have had. Yesterday riding from Philly to Baltimore was brutal because of all the rolling hills. I managed to get through it all, and down one hill i hit 44.6mph, which i thought was insane. When i told a couple of my fellow riders they all had the same question, “I wonder what your rpm was?”. We calculated it and it turned out that at one point it was 205RPM!

Kai Killin It

Thursday, June 25th, 2009

I was just on my lunch break when I heard some ruffians banging around on this basement door. As soon as I turned the corner, I recognized one of them. It was Kai knocking out some 180’s at this popular bmx spot.

Kai, I thought you were grounded?

BFF09 Week Edit pt. 1 from John Prolly on Vimeo.

In case you haven’t seen these yet, I made two quick web edits showcasing some fixed riding and some b-reel.

BFF09 Week Edit pt. 2 from John Prolly on Vimeo.

It was a great time and although these edits show a very biased perspective on the week’s events, It still gives you a sense on how tightly knit the fixed gear community is.

Thanks to everyone who came out!
