Kissena
Thursday, October 22nd, 2009Our local track is in Kissena Park way out in Queens. It was resurfaced in the early aughts, but has been around for a long time. Some of the racers have been going there since the 80s. Like Mike Mahesh.
Mike keeps a blog and recently posted some old photos. Here are a couple highlights.
That’s the track in the background. It’s paved now, and there are bleachers. But we still like to call it the Ghettodrome.
Empire gets covered in shit.

So as some of you might have heard. The scooter is dead. Its also now cold as all hell.
I have been passing the time racing cross and nagging Dwain to come race cross with me.
Well after many weeks of delays and excuses I finally go him muddy. Hope you enjoy these photos from last weekends outing.

Dwains BMW as a Cross Bike

Dan covered in shit post race.

Dwain post race

The Ryan Trebon Show
Dwain placed a very respectable 27th out of 120 starters in the 4 race. He was also the only person at the race riding fixed.
He definitely got a few good comments from fellow racers.
I finished 6th in the 2/3/4 race. Apparently i was the only one in the top ten without a pit bike/crew. I was definitely the only asshole out there racing with a quill stem.
After we got clean and got some beer in hand we got to watch Georgia Gould and Ryan Trebon ride everyone in to submission in the pro races. Amazing.
Cant wait till next weekend.
Summer shooting
Friday, October 16th, 2009I just got a some production stills from Andrew Temkin. Here are a few. This is from a shoot early this summer before the 42 Below ride. I asked him to shoot with us while we got some lines with John Prolly.
I sure miss that warm weather. It’s 45 and rainy in NYC.
Beer!
Thursday, October 8th, 2009My mom always told me “Don’t get mad, get even.”

I found out that I’m more content getting cross.
